Its 1945 six women gather at the First Baptist Church in Ivy Gap to plan the 75th anniversary of the church. They share their dreams, keep secrets and roll bandages — Twenty five years later the ladies are planning the 100th anniversary of the church. Some dreams have been shattered and secrets still kept. Every second Wednesday of the month, the Museum of the Confederacy and the Appomattox Court House National Historical Park are partnering to bring the Civil War Sesquicentennial to Appomattox. Each month, a knowledgable speaker will lead a discussion on a topic or event’s 150th anniversary.
